Instagram Addict

I'm an Instagram addict, and my addiction has become more and more overwhelmed since the day I said "hello" and welcomed iPhone 4S into my life, blame the 8 MP camera and all those amazing photo filters. On New Year's Eve of 2011, my BB and I witnessed the first ever countdown fireworks show at Queens Park Toowoomba, S.P.L.E.N.D.I.D. Here are some of my few other updates in the past two weeks.

GrabOne iPhone App for Australians & New Zealanders

I was recommended by one of my friends to use this GrabOne iPhone app to explore and purchase various special deals on the other day. The application is totally free and there is no member fees required at all. I was also told that it's quite a reliable source, since he already had experience dealing with the app for a couple of times before =)

Japanese Hair Bun and MeiTu Xiu Xiu(美图秀秀)

I have just learned how to make classic Japanese inspired hair bun from cheeserland last night and I loved the outcome so so much! It wasn't easy at all holding my hair in that position, as I got pretty lengthy and thick volume black hair. But still, I managed to do it and succeeded on my second attempt. *says bye bye to ponytail* See how happy I was?!

Farm Town on Facebook

I'm sure most of you must have heard about the Facebook usernames that started two days ago (Jun 13th). Fortunately, I was fast enough to get http://www.facebook.com/christinayy as my official Facebook profile web address, which is the same as my current blog's URL. In case you still haven't done so, just starting choosing your favorable username by clicking here.

At the same time, I'd like to share a snapshot of "My Secret Garden" in Farmtown, it's one of those game applications that allows you to design, grow and maintain your farm. Feel free to add me up as your neighbour or just simply send me some free gifts (preferably flowers), since now I own quite a lot of fruit trees and animals in my level 26 farm =P

Filenames Disappeared in Filmstrip / Thumbnails View

Have ever had an experience, in which all of the filenames under filmstrip and thumbnails view gone missing or disappeared all in a sudden? You were cracking your head, trying so hard to find out what was going on. Then, you started to think that perhaps your system was infected by some kind of Trojan horse or worm. Oh-My-God, what should I do now? Do I need to re-install or even re-format my hard drive?! The answer is "NO", all you need to do is just follow the instruction below...

Drive Free Traffic to Your Websites

I just noticed there was such an e-mail in my mailbox when I was doing a house-keeping on my mailbox this morning. In order to satisfy my curiosity, I paid a friendly visit to VerveEarth. And as usual, I got myself signed up, and began exploring around.

Nuffnang's New Feature: Community

It was yesterday's early morning when I first discovered about Nuffnang's newly added feature named "Visitors", it was then changed to "Community" when I logged in again within the same day in the late evening.

Expandable Content Script

Flooble's Expandable Content script is a javascript that lets you create expandable / collaspable boxes easily, just like the ones placing in my sidebar ("Blogroll" and "Links"). This is to reduce the number things being displayed or things that taking up too much of space in one single page. By doing so, it may as well provide a better viewing experience for your blog readers or website visitors. The script works well with all the latest web browsers and it's available in two different styles:

• Initially Visible (Collapsed / Expanded by default)

To hide the contents, just click on the (-) minus sign or vice versa.

• Initially Hidden (Not Visible by default)

To view the contents, just click on the (+) plus sign or vice versa.

How to Install The Code

Step 1:

For blogger user, go to Templete > Edit HTML, then simply copy and paste the code (generated in the first column) right after the "BODY" tag, or inside of the "HEAD" ... "/HEAD" tag.

*Note: Step 1 only need to be done ONCE, no matter how many boxes you are putting onto that specific page.

Step 2:

For blogger user, go to Templete > Page Elements > Add a Page Element > HTML/JavaScript (Add third-party functionality or other code to your blog), then simply copy and paste the code (generated in the second column) into the "Content" column. After saved, just click and drag it to the place where you want the content to appear.

P.S. Thanks Kah Peng for installing the code for me ealier and Haan, I hope you find this post is helpful for you.

Welcome Back PageRank 3

Two days after I sent a PageRank Reconsideration Request to Google, my blog has finally been rewarded PR 3 again yesterday. Yay, thanks Google for the generosity and also for the fast respond! It usually takes up to several weeks to process or review a website. Previously, my blog was downgraded from PR 3 to PR 0. Now, lets have a look at the ups and downs of my PageRank since November of 2006:

My New Link Partners

My previous post about T-bowl: Toilet Bowl Concept Restaurant in Queensbay Mall has been featured in Queensbay Mall's Blog on Januray 30th, which was a day after the New Media Manager of QBM - Doreen Teh left a comment in my post saying...

Google PageRank: Reconsideration Request

As everyone knows, the page rank of my blog has dropped from PR3 to PR0 on January 13th of this year. Two weeks later after the incident, I've written a public apology to Google, which is on 27th within the same month. In between that very significant two weeks, I spent time removing all the paid posts I ever wrote in my blog, as well as re-correcting all the links (external and internal) in every single post. Also, there is a disclosure policy button created at the most bottom right of my sidebar.

It has been 10 days waiting for feedback from Google, Kay Bin gave me an idea on how to deal with my current situation when we were having a small conversation just now. Oh well, it's worth a try rather than sitting there doing nothing, right? That is why I decided to submit a reconsideration request to Google a couple minutes ago, requesting for re-evaluation of my website. Hopefully, there'll be an adjustment to my page rank soon. Thanks, Kay Bin!

Boyfriends / Girlfriends Application

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, I bet there are many lonely hearts (singles) out there who DO NOT wish to spend that very special day alone by themselves. Don't worry, it isn't the end of the world and you still able to make it in time (as in finding your significant other).

30 Free Windows Live Messenger Emotions

In case you don't know, Windows Live Messenger now offers 30 fun and free messenger emotions for countries like India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, and Singapore. I just found out about the cool new feature when cleaning up my mailbox.

Google PageRank

It was yesterday morning, when my PageRank dropped from PR3 to PR0 all in a sudden. I felt kinda upset and panic at first. I don't know what to do but wondering what have I done wrong? what was really going on?... Then, I started to search for tips to recover from Google PageRank drop and how to protect your site from a Google PageRank drop.

If anyone of you happen to face the same problem, you might found the articles above could be helpful in solving the current situation. In case, u wanna find out more about your own site or other people's sites, iwebtool has a range of useful tools like Google PageRank Prediction, PageRank Checker, Backlink Checker, Multi-Rank Check, Website Speed Test, Link Popularity, Search Engine Position and many others that meet your demands.

My Desktop is Snowing

You may have seen snowing blog or snowing screensaver, what about snowing desktop? My desktop is snowing so nicely while it's raining cats and dogs out there! It's a small program that "hibernates" on hard drive for quite a long time, I happen to dig it out again yesterday.

Even though I celebrated Christmas alone by myself, but I felt touched and gratified. I had the best wishes and warmest greetings from you, my family, my boi, my colleagues and all my friends. Thank you so much!

Grab My Ads???

Last week, I've received an e-mail from Grabmyads via my gmail account. It's another new Malaysian blog advertising company which established in mid of November 2007. Due to my curiosity, I get myself sign-ed up and started to explore around. As what I can read from their blog, the company is currently running in the second stage of Beta phase and their new system is coming up soon.

I'm not trying to give any kinda free publicity for Grabmyads, the main purpose is to share the information I get, and let all the bloggers know that there is such blog advertising company exist in Malaysia. Since the company is still new, we can't really tell yet what's gonna happen in the future. So I just wish Grabmyads all the best 'cuz they are actually creating more job opportunities and also the possibility to earn more $$$ more from blogging.

Dot TK: Renaming The Internet

Last night, my boi has came across a well known webbie for renaming long and hard-to-remember web addresses into free, short, easy, and secure alternative Dot TK domain names. The main reason we digged out this "old" stuff is because we were trying to make it easy for our MapleStory guid members when typing my blog URL.

For instance, you may enter htt://www.christinayy.tk into the address bar of your Internet browser instead of http://www.christinayy.blogspot.com/. Then, Dot TK will redirect you to the original webpage. Hence, you just need to remember "christinayy.tk" which is a lot simpler than remembering christinayy.blogspot.com.

All Dot TK websites are connected via TiKinet. If you wish to increase the number of visitors to your webbie for FREE, you may choose to create a TikiLink with brief description and suitable tags (keywords) of your webbie to attract more visitors.

It AIN'T something new anymore, I believe most of you must have used or heard of it long, long time ago. No matter what, it's an honour to share it with those who never known about Dot TK. Have a great weekend !!!
