Betong is a not-so-big-yet-not-so-small town located at the southernmost district of Yala Province, Thailand. This place has successfully attracted quite a huge number of tourists from nearby Malaysia, Pengkalan Hulu (formerly known as Kroh or Keroh) in particular.
Together with my mom, we went to buy some "stocks" from the local markets.
We managed to grab some fresh ingredients from the food market too.

In the afternoon, we had our lunch here at one of the Thai restaurants. I have no idea what's the name of this restaurant since it's written in Thai. Anyone?
I found an adorable pregnant / fat Chihuahua (maybe I'm wrong) sitting somewhere not far from our table.
Long Beans, Egg Plant and Cucumber served with Sambal Belacan.
Stir Fried Petai (Stick Bean) with Prawns, a very spicy dish.
Stir Fried Watercress.
Thai-style Mango Salad.
Seaweed Soup with Japanese Tofu and Shredded Prawns.
