Nian Chu Er aka the second day of Chinese New Year, we had a fabulously delicious potluck dinner with friends at our place. I roughly thought about the menu in the afternoon and came to a conclusion that I should prepare dishes which I'm more familiar with - Deep Fried Pork Meat Balls and Hot & Sour Roasted Chicken Soup.
The ingredients I gathered for our first dish: ground pork, spring onion, water chestnut, and minced garlic. I made use of few simple seasonings like white pepper powder, sesame oil, dark soy sauce, light soy sauce, salt, and five-spice powder to create the aromatic flavors. Then mixed all the ingredients and seasonings together and set aside for a while.
Tick, tock, tick, tock... Half an hour later...
Tada!~ My unfinished creation for the night! ;D
Fresh out of hot wok, crisp, and crunchy pork meal balls are ready to be served now!!!
It's a shame that I didn't take any photos of the soup that I boiled for almost an hour. Pickled mustard, sweetcorn, roasted chicken, dried chillies, and straw mushroom were such a great combination together.

Wow! All that food is making me veryyyy verryyy hungry xD
