Day 2 of Mr. Choo's birthday getaway, we woke up to a sunny yet chilly Sunday morning in the city of Brisbane. Supposedly, we should have departed for Gold Coast after we checked out from Mercure, but plans changed due to unforeseen circumstances (sounds so serious, LOL) and we had to go on foot in cold (not fun at all) to find the nearest possible cafe for breakfast.

Look at me! All dressed up in beachwear and my newly bought seashell flip-flops. I'm lucky to be alive still 'cause the mini heart cardigan I wore was not helping at all.

Hot cappuccino. I wish they had it in a mug too.
First came the BLT in a generously large portion.
Real fresh salad as if the veggies were just picked from the garden, but the sandwiches somehow were a total disappointment with over-grilled bacon and toasts which we didn't quite like.
Next came the mouth-watering Eggs Benedict. The poached eggs were done perfectly, with softly set whites and bright orange yolks oozed out onto the plate, blended seamlessly with the Hollandaise sauce. Yummmm, loved it!

Breakfast, fixed! Mr. Choo's birthday present? Not fixed! Not until we came back and eventually got him something he really like and enjoy using ;p
