"Warm" was no longer the word to describe the weather condition in the past two days, "hot" sounded more like it! The temperature peaked at almost 34 degrees yesterday's afternoon when we went down to Brisbane. I'm glad, really glad that Australia doesn't get Malaysia's humidity here during spring and summer.
Sipping on my favorite Plum Green Tea with Rainbow Jelly. Slurrrrrp...
My Unagi Bento Set, yum!!!
We came to Kadoya in Elizabeth Arcade in Brisbane City for lunch. Lovely Japanese cuisine at very affordable prices and super friendly service I would say.
Mr. Choo with his Chicken Karaage Ramen.
In Sunnybank, we met up with friends to have dinner at the Suncrop Chinese Restaurant (稻香). The place was packed out as we arrived, with mostly Chinese families, and we waited 10 minutes or so to get a table for 7.
Tick tock, tick tock... A while later, we were informed that our table was free. We sat down, still not figured out the dishes (well, only some but not all) we wanted to order. Mud crabs and fishes were exy ($55 a kilo or something), what a total disappointment! Thus we just skipped seafood and let J.C. the regular here made the decision.
Food was delish, generously portioned for fair prices but service wise could be improved. Simple things like a smile on the face or a friendly "sorry", "please", and "thank you" wouldn't hurt.
Enjoying ourselves.
The two of us <3
LOL at his act-cute face xD

Desserts after dinner. I ordered my usual, Soy Custard with Red Bean & Black Pearl (珍珠红豆豆花), very sweet and filling indeed.
This little Sweet Dessert Shop is where we would hang out whenever our tummies crave for something more than just savory meals.
Three Colors Shaved Ice (三色挫冰), his usual.
J.C. recommended another dessert shop to us, on the corner of Calam Road and Lear Street, Sunnybank Hills. Gonna have to try that one out next time ;)
Looks soo yummy - I always enjoy reading about your culinary finds :) Plus I agree with you it was very hot over the weekend just a sneak peek of what we have in store for the upcoming months :(
