It was a steamy hot ride driving down to Brisbane on "Nian Chu Yi". We spent hours shopping at QSM (Queens Street Mall), got myself nothing but an eye cream from the Body Shop. Unbelievable but true! Around dinner time, we came to this La Kasbah Restaurant with the vouchers we pre-purchased online via Spreets. We were not informed in any way about the prohibition of using more than one voucher per table, until the person at the bar approached us. I'm guessing HE is the person in charge and was very rude to us with his sit-down-or-go-away attitude when we first walked into the restaurant. I mean, we deserved to be treated fairly and well regardless it was a discounted meal or not. Geez, he kinda spoiled our Chinese New Year mood that day ><"

Trying to be positive and affirmative.

Two Cynthias looking at the menus wondering what to eat...
We had very limited choices, only 1 entree and two mains for two.

Salad Tunisienne
Tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, and capsicum tossed in a fresh lemon dressing with fresh mint, garnished with tuna, egg and olives. The salad was lovely but unfortunately, I did not taste and see any eggs in it.

Chicken Honey
Chicken cooked in honey, prunes, cinnamon and spicy Tunisian sauce sprinkled with almonds.

I've switched meals with my boi because the Chicken Honey was just too sweet for me.

Marka Hloua
Slow cooked lamb in a sweet sauce with prunes, apricots, honey, cinnamon, chick peas and sultanas.

Makhouda
I can't find any description for this dish, neither on the La Kasbah website itself nor the internet. It's something like chicken omelette, tasted sweet but not very sweet.

Me and my boi, wearing the Christmas pressie I've got for him =)

Me and Vera in super red outfits! It's the first day of Chinese New Year hey!!!
