Phuket: Monkey Beach (Part III)

Monkey beach on Phi Phi Don

Monkey Beach located at the other side of Phi Phi Island. The island is full of wild monkeys, that is why it has the name "Monkey Beach".

Monkey beach on Phi Phi Don

Do you realize that the monkeys nowadays like to have soft drinks? What's going on? A few years back when my family and I visiting Mount Jerai in Kedah, we saw a cute little monkey there picked up a can of soft drink from somewhere and started to drink.

These monkeys might look tame to you, but what's gonna happen if you're not willing to share the food in your hands with them? They are cleaver and even know how to swim!!!

Wow, the sea water here is exceptionally clean and crystal clear, far better than Redang Island. It's also one of the snorkeling spots for tourists.

Warmest & Sweetest Christmas Present

Merry Chistmas1

Just now, I had a conversation with my bro on MSN. He was trying to send me some kinda gif file but I declined it at the first time, cuz I was affraid that his messenger might be infected by virus again. You know, that kinda virus which sends unknown files to everyone on your buddy list automatically.

After I received the file, my bro actually told me that it took him 3 hours to complete this piece of free-hand drawing on the above by using Paint. I felt touched and surpised to get to know about it. It would be the warmest and sweetest Christmas "present" I ever received. I even put it as the header of my secondary blog - PinkyYY's DreamWorld. Thanks Ning!!! *huggiez*

Phuket: Phi Phi Islands (Part II)

White Sandy Beach

Phi Phi is one of the loveliest in Southeast Asia and definitely a “superstar” island in Thailand. Why did I say that? The famous movie, "The Beach" starring Leonardo DiCaprio was filmed here in year 2000, it’s not just that, there are some other films which were shot here.

Maya Bay & Koh Phi Phi

Some of you might be wondering where am I now, why am I keep posting all these photos of Phuket. The answer is my whole family went to Phuket for holiday last week WITHOUT me. Sigh, how am I gonna join them while I’m still in Australia? Just wait until I graduate and go back to Malaysia. Lets get back to the island…

Second Beach of Phi Phi

Phi Phi has become a “hot” topic for every traveler that has been to this island. There are two islands here, Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Leh. The larger and inhabited, Phi Phi Don attracts hundreds of travelers to stay on its long sandy white shores, while Phi Phi Leh is completely free of human inhabitants.

Land of Phi Phi Island

The island is just 45 minutes away from Phuket, once you have been here, you will never forget its classic beaches, stunning rock formations, and vivid turquoise waters teeming with colorful marine life. An affordable vacation trip to Phi Phi Islands in this hot summer is just like being in heaven.

Aquamarine Sea

There are more beautiful photos coming up soon, so please stayed tune for future updates about Phuket and its small islands. Hopefully I'll be able to do a video blog in Phuket some time in the future, another one or two years later perhaps. Thanks for your patient while waiting for photos to load.

Phuket: Khai Island (Part I)

Khai Island

Khai Island

Khai Island

Khai Island is one of the tiny but idyllic islands located at the east of Phuket. It's a paradise for relaxing, snorkeling, and sunbathing. There are two bays, two beaches, and three small islands (Khai Nok, Khai Nai, and Khai Nui) on Khai Island. Its white sandy beaches and aquamarine sea water make it an ideal place for daytrips (morning until evening), because there isn't any place for you to stay on the island. Khai Island located not far away from Phuket, just within 20 minutes by long-tail boat or by joining a boat tour around the area.

Good News

Yay, I've been granted a subclass 537 Higher Education Sector student visa with permission to work. That sounds complicated right? Or should I rather say that I'm legally allowed to work in Australia from now on BUT under certain circumstances.

Nowadays, applying for new student visa (outside or in Australia), renewing student visa, and applying permission to work can be done electronically via Visas & Immigration website. It took them less than 2 weeks time to process my online application (12 days to be exact) without the need to attend interview or others. Just make sure you have a valid visa card or master card to pay for the fees required.

At the same time, the transfer of bond from my previous unit has been successfully processed by rtd (residential tenancies authority) , same goes to my boi’s. It’s always good to have extra emergency cash with you especially when you’re overseas. By the way, my boss just gave me a ring to inform me about this week’s working timetable. Good news is I’ll be able to work more hours next week. Hehe, must work harder then!

Subway Wahu

Just one more thing before I go, Subway Australia is now giving away "scratch and win" card for purchase of any Subway sandwich and coke in single transaction during the promotional period (duedate: 3rd of Feb, 2008). We've got it a few days ago when having meals in Grand Central, guess what's the result I get?
