North Stradbroke Island: Fishes Cafe and the Point Lookout

Fishes at the Point Restaurant & Cafe
Another week has come and gone and it's Friday again! I hope it was a good one for you and that you've got a wonderful weekend ahead planned. Mine was restless and I'm really looking forward to have a relaxing weekend just staying at home, arranging a catch-up or two with friends and sharing some of these photos taken on the Stradbroke Island with you perhaps? Point Lookout was the place we stopped by for lunch after a quick tour around the Main Beach and Headland. There wasn't much choice for us to choose from actually, either the bakery - Loaves at the Point or the cafe - Fishes at the Point.

We chose the Fishes Cafe and ordered a main dish to share, since the ham and cheese toast we had was still settling in our tummies.

Fish, Chips and Salad. The Barramundi was grilled to perfection with a nice bit of golden-brown all over the fillet, laying on top of a bed of freshly fried chips (I like them with the tartare sauce, always), and side salad which was absolutely refreshing.

Windows shopping at the Surfstreet Health and Beauty store next door. Was hoping to grab some souvenirs there but ended up buying nothing.

Under the sun with cold wind penetrating into every cell of my skin. I'm not exaggerating! The wind was at its peak the whole time when we were on the island.

A memorial stone place by the residents. 1770 - 1970 This plaque commemorates the bi-centenary of naming of Point Lookout on May 17th 1770 by Captain James Cook.

I couldn't help but noticed that my legs looked slim at this angle. Vainness alert! *blush*
