Sunday the Open Day

USQ Toowoomba Open Day!!! Been there, done that, several times, yet we convinced ourselves to go for another round this year. I wasn't really looking forward to anything particularly fun or exciting, but just a relaxing outdoor activity to kick-start our Sunday morning. It was a very productive day that day. We finally had the time to shop for my body lotion, some groceries and car accessories. I've got myself a 300ml bottle of Jurlique Rose Body Care Lotion and it's addictively moisturizing ♥ Then we spent the rest of the afternoon scouring and pouring love over our new baby boy (whatever you're thinking, that's not it).

Bestie's Graduation Ceremony and Photoshoot at the Japanese Garden

I had a very significant mission to accomplish today, which was to attend my bestie's graduation held in the K.J. Stapleton Stadium, Clive Berghofer Recreation Centre of the University of Southern Queensland (USQ). The ceremony started at 10 a.m. and thus, I woke up few hours earlier just to wash and blow-dry my hair, and to get myself dressed up with some light make-up on.

Okay first of all, I admit that I might be a little too anxious to show you all of my graduation photos. But do forgive my anxiety, these photos are priceless to me and there would be no part 3 or 4 after today's post, I promise. And by the way, it's my beloved mommy's birthday today! I wanna wish her here, "Happy Birthday Mommy! I love you, miss you, and like you always said, please take a good care of yourself too!".

My Big Day: USQ Masters Graduation at the Empire Threatre 2010 (Part 1)

Yesterday was the best day in my life! The weather was perfectly fine, with a big yellow sun shining so brightly in the blue blue sky. Dear all, I'm here to announce that I've finally graduated on the 11th of September, 2010! It's my second (masters) graduation in Australia so far, the first one (bachelors) was back in 2008, which took place exactly two years ago. I felt happy, very very happy indeed, although my family did not manage to attend my graduation ceremony this time, but at least I still got my boi and my dear friends to cheer for me, standing right by my side. Thanks guys and girls, you all have made my big day perfect in every way, especially my boi ❤ love ya! *muackz*

Picnic at the Japanese Garden

We had a pot-luck picnic at the Japanese Garden yesterday, around 4 pm in the afternoon and the weather was considerably warm with bright and sunny sky. My boi and I had brought some fruits and chocolate fruit cake, while Kitt on the other hand prepared these tart-looking mini pizzas.

Japanese Garden: Photo-Shooting

We went for a little photo-shooting session at the USQ Japanese Garden this afternoon. The main idea was to test out my BB's new toy. Yup, he has just got himself a Nikon D90!

USQ Graduation Ceremony '10: Faculty of Science

My boi and I were invited to our friend, Henry's graduation ceremony which was held on last Saturday afternoon. We woke up a bit late that day as both of us felt really tired after the Bak Kut Teh Dinner + Girls Party we had on the night before. Fortunately, we managed to get him a pressie and got to the graduation hall just in time ;)

My Boi's USQ Graduation Ceremony '09: Photoshooting

Here comes the second which is also the final part of my boi's graduation. Thinking back, we could have spent our time (although there was not much time left before returning the graduation gown) shooting photos in the Japanese Garden, just like what I did last time. But somehow, we just didn't do it this time. I told my boi that it'd be such a waste if we didn't make use of this opportunity to increase our photo collection. So, with no further delay, we urged everyone to gather at the USQ main gate to do some photo shooting.

My Boi's USQ Graduation Ceremony '09: Morning Session

As mentioned, it's my boi's graduation ceremony today! I had to wake up early (early as in 7 am in the morning) to put on light make-up, to set my hair, and to get myself dress up as a pretty birdie. When we were both done and ready, immediately we headed off to Allison Dickson Lecture Theatre to pick up his graduation gown (between 8.30 am to 9 am). I was a bit surprised when they refrain me from following him to the graduation gown collecting area, in a nice and friendly way of course.

Two years ago, exactly on 11th of July, was when we first landed in Australia. It's been two great years and still counting, unbelievable but achievable. Today, early in the morning, I woke up at 6.30 to attend the International Orientation Program which starts at 9? It sounds ridiculous but trust me, I did not do that on purpose.

USQ Graduation Ceremony '09: After Graduation

Just like every other graduation ceremonies, there will always be a photo-shooting session held in the USQ Refectory. All graduates are required to return the academic gowns within the very same day (a few hours after the graduation ceremony). It's pretty rush for those who wish to take more photos with their family and friends.

My boi and I were invited by Adam and Jojo to attend the graduation ceremony of USQ Faculty of Business, which was held at K.J. Stapleton Stadium, Clive Berghofer Recreation Centre today (2 May 2009, Saturday) from 10 am to 12 noon. And if you have trouble finding this place in the future, please refer to the USQ Toowoomba campus map (Building F) on the website or those map boards scattered around the campus, I'm pretty sure you won't get lost here ;)

USQ Career Fair 2009

This year's career fair was not as happening as previous years. The event took place at exactly the same venue, which is the USQ refectory from 11 am to 3 pm. My boi and I were there to gather some information about IT related job opportunities and recruitment here in Australia. We did not go home empty handed but instead had our hands full with lots of freebies and magazines.
