Driving in the city of Sydney could be traumatic. It drives new-to-town people like us insane as we really have no idea where to park. Parking in the malls are expensive!!! We spent more than $50 just for parking alone on our first day. Absolutely no clue which routes to take or avoid. No left turn here, no right turn there, blah, blah, blah... It makes you feel like abandoning your car and walk to the destination instead! *pulls hair and screams*
Mr. Choo and I always wanted to try out Noggi Frozen Yogurt, when its first branch opened in Brisbane CBD, the Myer Centre opposite Queen Street Mall. In the afternoon, after having Japanese cuisine at the Sushi Roll Japanese Restaurant in World Square, we made space in our stomachs for some icy-cold desserts.
Mixed flavor yogurts with strawberry, blueberry and lychee jelly toppings. Original flavor was smooth and lovely, but not the fruity cherry. A bit too sour for our taste buds to handle.
His Chicken Karaage Udon. Very crispy and flavorful fried chicken. Udon was soft and silky.
Ten Don. My Tempura Prawn Bowl. Simply delish! Mr. Choo hated the raw egg white on top =.="
We also had some wonderful sushi from the sushi train. Kudos to the Korean sushi chefs.
Dinner at Taiwan Ganbei (乾杯) on a freezing cold night. It brought back a lot of memories walking down the streets in Chinatown, Sydney. The last time we we here was 5 years ago with my family. Most of the shops and restaurants remained even after so many years. The ultimate survivors!
We sat down, flipped through its menu, and the friendly wait staff recommended us Yakult Green Tea (多多绿茶) for drinks. Awesome for digestion, by the way!

Yummy Pork Mince Rice (鲁肉饭) and steamed rice to share. We love sharing our food =)
Succulent Braised Pork Knuckles - $14.90 *thumbs up*
Stir Fried Pipi with Basil (塔香蛤蛎) - $18.80 *slurrrrrrp* Portion was huge!!!
High recommended to those pipi lovers out there.
Let's dig in =D~ See how big the portions are?
A random stranger came to ask for donation after I had this shot taken. The money better goes to the helpless poor orphans or we'll curse you to hell, lady! *ahem* Pardon my language.
Bread-shopped at Fujipan Japanese Bakery for breakfast next morning. They were all tasty!
Teriyaki Seafood Bento Set I munched in Merrickville Shopping Plaza's food court.
Long wait but well worth it.
On day 3, we took a step further to explore more of Sydney.
It's sunshine ☼ and beaches everybody!!! If only he didn't have to rush back to work that day...
We picked a beachfront restaurant to dine in.
Hurricane's Grill Brighton Le Sands, a steakhouse restaurant.
We were seated on balcony, the peaceful and relaxing side of the restaurant.
Fried Calamari with Tartare Sauce and Rice - $16. The starter was more than enough to feed myself. Particularly loved the rice (perhaps I was too hungry, hehe). Calamari rings were just so-so.
Massive Pork Ribs (Half Rack) with Chips - $34.90. The ribs were finger-licking good despite a moderate burn on the outer. Chips, on the other hand, could be improved.
Another selfie taken with iPhone. All images in this post are taken with iPhone actually. Crappy front camera. Til then, enjoy the rest of your Tuesday!
Those ribs looks AMAZING!
