Chap Goh Meh aka "元宵节" is a festival celebrated on the 15th, which is also the last day of Chinese New Year. We fixed up a dinner date with the Tan's family, two eat-outs in one day, amazing! Location was picked by Kevin, at the Sofra Turkish Restaurant in town, then followed by an ice-cream indulgence at the Gelatissimo I longed for. Belgian Chocolate - the best!!!
To share, we ordered a Tavuklu Pide - $20. Turkish Styled Pizza with marinated chicken, tomato, mushroom, spinach, capsicum, parsley, Feta and Haloumi cheese. Highly recommended!!!
Yum~ yum~
For myself, Karides Izgara - $25.50. Marinated king prawns gently cooked over char-grill, served with grilled tomato, pickled chilli, side salad, pilav (Turkish rice) and Turkish bread. Another highly recommended dish and I loved it!
Mr. Choo's Kuru Fasulya - $21.50. One of the "House Specials". Lamb and beans casserole cooked in traditional clay pot and served with pilav.
Apparently, he was not quite happy with his meal with not thoroughly cooked beans.
Little Preston with a mouthful of food. Excuse me, ah yi.
Veny's order, Musakka - $21.50. Eggplant, mince meat, capsicum, tomatoes, onion and fresh herbs in tomato concasse, served with a tiny-winy bit of pilav.
Extra rice for the preggy mummy please!
Two unlucky guys of the night. Kevin had something with lamb. According to him, everything on his plate was just plain salty.
