Wagamama, a modern Japanese noodle bar at Wintergarden Brisbane which we visited for lunch on last Sunday. I honestly think that their meals are grossly overpriced and definitely not worth the money that we paid for.
Genmaicha (玄米茶) green tea with roasted brown rice - $3.00 per pot.
Teppan-fried obviously-not-soba noodles with egg, chicken, shrimps, onions, green and red capsicum (heaps of them), beansprouts and spring onions, garnished with mixed sesame seeds, fried shallots and pickled ginger (the red color thingy on top of the noodle).
Comment: Why pay so much when you could get something similar from other Asian noodle bars with lower price, more ingredients and possibly taste better?
Spicy Chicken Itame - $18.80
Stir-fried ginger chicken strips with red chillies, zucchini, broccoli, red onion, mint, basil, coriander, ginger, garlic and a wedge of lim, served on white jasmine rice.
Comment: It tasted very much like those spicy chicken dishes we get in Australianized Thai restaurants.
