After lunch at the Ngong Ping Garden Restaurant, we went to check out the well-known Tian Tan Buddha Statue (天坛大佛) and had a walk around the Ngong Ping Village (昂坪市集).
People busy decorating the place for some sort of event later that night.
Village directory. It's impossible to get lost here since it's just a small area.
菩提许愿亭.
The wishing tree.
Let's see what's more inside...
It seemed cold here but not really that cold.
宝莲禅寺.
The staircases towards Tian Tan Buddha Statue (天坛大佛).
We didn't really make it up there, unfortunately.
Look at us! Still carrying the stuff (keychains, t-shirts and more) we got from Disneyland.
We came upon the famous mountain water tofu custard (石磨山水豆腐花). A must try!!!
The tofu custard was so soft and smooth, uummm...
And it tasted so good with the ginger-honey syrup.
紫背天葵(Begonia Fimbristipula) drinks which tasted a bit like 仙梅茶.
On our way back to Tung Chung (東涌). We'll do some shopping there at the Citygate Outlets before heading back to Disneyland again to catch up with the fireworks show.

Beautiful description of Ngong Ping Village and Big Buddha. Weather was not so good during my visit, still I clicked some nice pics.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Glad that you did. The weather was alright when we visited Hong Kong, but a bit warm and hazy.
