I had an amazing Australia Day yesterday! Despite the non-stop heavy rain and stormy wind which ruined the outdoor barbies and my appearance a little bit, it was no doubt a fun-filled and enjoyable celebration. Sorry guys, no photos from yesterday as I forgot to bring the camera out with me. My bad =/
The night following was a nightmare. I barely slept well with what was going on outside. It worried me so much to the point that I thought our cars or building might be flooded or something. I kept waking up every few hours to check on the water level out in the carpark, thankfully, none of what I worried about happened.
There was a short power outage in the morning and that's all, our neighborhood is safe, at least for now. We even drove to the city to pick up some groceries from Coles Grand Central before heading to our friends' place for dinner tonight.

It's dinner time!!! Yummylicious Bak Kut Teh, literally means "Meat Bone Soup" is ready to be served, just perfect for such cold and rainy weather.
Say cheese =))
Besides BKT, Kevin also cooked up some veggie side dishes.
The "indispensable" deep fried dough sticks from Jasmine Asian.
Naughty little Preston tried to snatch the beer away from Mr. Choo.
His not-so-happy face. Haha, so cute!!!
Mr. Choo's new found love - Great Northern Super Crisp Lager, Australia owned and brewed.
Watching Australian Open 2013 live on the TV...
YAY~ Novak did it again! His fourth Australian Open crown in a row!!! *throw confetti*
Good night y'all. Stay out of the wet and keep warm ♥

Australia day was quite damp wasn't it. We had visitors from Brisbane so we didn't get to do as much as we hoped but still had fun.
ReplyDeleteThe food looks delicious by the way!
