Our one-night accommodation in Shen Zhen. It took us 15 minutes in order to walk from Lao Jie Station (老街站) to Lee Garden Inn (丽苑酒店), a 3 star hotel situated at Dongmen Middle Road, Luohu District.
It felt good coming back from hell to heaven once again! The hotels here are a lot cheaper compared to Hong Kong, around RMB 200 per night for such a cozy and comfy room.
For lunch, we came to 红荔村, a Chinese restaurant which is connected to the hotel's lobby.
The pork ribs meal I ordered. It also came with a soup and dessert.
My BB's pork belly meal.
He promised to be a good boy and eat no greasy food after we came back to Australia.
The concrete jungle of Luohu District.
Hawker food can be seen everywhere on the streets.
Even warmer and more humid than Malaysia? Or was it just about the same?
No idea, I just felt like dying walking under the hot sun.
Honestly, I have a really bad impression towards this place. I mean, I do accept the fact that Shen Zhen is a shopping paradise, if you're looking for something dirt cheap, but I just couldn't stand the stinking streets with people spitting everywhere. Not only that, 99.99% of the people here are very rude. They don't smile and only talk with emotionless face like robots I would say. The worst part is, the salesgirls like to force you buy things that you don't like buying at all!!!
This is a MTR route map showing how we got ourselves from Tsim Sha Tsui (尖沙咀) to Lo Wu(罗湖).
From there, Shen Zhen Metro would take us to LaoJie (老街) via Line 1 (LuoBao Line).
And eventually, walked from the metro station to our hotel for at least 15 minutes or more, depending how packed the streets were, with people and stuff.
