Shopping Day

It was so crowded today in Queensbay Mall, there's so many events going on there. One of them which has successfully attracted most of the male shoppers was the F1 show held at the entrance. The sexy showgirls were singing and dancing on the stage while the audiences were standing and watching in the rain.

I always wanted to buy a mini skirt which is similar to Japanese or Taiwanese type of school uniform. Finally bought this that can be wear during summer or any other seasons. There's one sales girl who was standing beside me when I was looking at this "M" size mini skirt. She told me that the "M" size is smaller than usual "M". I felt sarcasm when hearing those words coming from her mouth. Without caring her words, I had a try on the "M" size but it end up so loose until it can be pulled down easily. At last, I'm back with the "S" size which she thinks I can't fit in, LoL. I admit that my face is round and chubby but it doesn't mean my body is the same.

The exchange rate of Aussie dollars have been increasing day by day lately. I was thinking that the exchange rate might drop today but who knows, it increased again! How disappointed I was... All I can do is nothing but pray hard for the rate to drop in the coming few weeks so that we get to exchange more cash in lower rate. Still need to wait for COE (Confirmation of Enrollment) letter after we hand in the bankdraft together with photostat passport, then only we can start applying for E-Visa and proceed for medical check-up. Recently, I feel so tired and moody to blog, too many things to worry about especially my uni stuff. Hope everything goes smoothly as planned. If nothing goes wrong, our flight to Brisbane would depart on 11th of July since all of the flight tickets (MAS and SIA) are fully booked between 12th to 15th of July. *sob sob* I won't get to watch all those nice movies showing in Malaysia after I reach Aussie >.<" No more cheap drama or pirated software, no more cheap and nice food, no more relaxing... have to put a fullstop on everything I get to enjoy here in Malaysia. *sigh*

The Last Mimzy

Based on the acclaimed sci-fi short story by Lewis Padgett, The Last Mimzy tells the story of two children who discover a mysterious box that contains some strange devices they think are toys.

As an average student with a gifted younger sister, 10-year-old Noah Wilder (Chris O’Neil) concludes that “life sucks.” He and his parents have succumbed to the trappings of today’s world, and a humdrum life. Only his 5 year old sister, Emma (Rhiannon Leigh Wryn), resists them. But during a family vacation, Noah and Emma find a strange box that washes up on shore. As they play with these “toys,” they begin to display higher and higher intelligence levels. Their teacher, Larry (Rainn Wilson) reports to their parents, Jo Wilder (Joely Richardson) and David (Timothy Hutton) that they seem to be growing beyond genius. Jo and David, too, realize something extraordinary is happening. Emma tells her confused mother that one of the toys, a stuffed toy rabbit, is apparently called Mimzy and that “she teaches me things.”

Jo becomes increasingly concerned, when suddenly a blackout shuts down the city. The government traces the source of the power surge to the family’s house. Things quickly spin wildly out of control. The children are focused on these strange objects, Mimzy, and the important mission on which they seem to have been sent. When Emma says that Mimzy contains a most serious message from the future, a scientific scan shows that Mimzy is part extremely high level electronics, and part organic! The overall of this movie is fine, graphics were nice, and the kids did a really good job acting too. I love to see Emma smiles, she looks so sweet and innocent. Check out this movie if you or your kids are into light mystery and philosophical ideas.
