We revisited Ngong Ping Village this trip in favor of mum and the rest of our family. We somehow managed to explore Po Lin Monastery (宝莲禅寺) which initially known as "The Big Hut" (大茅蓬) and climbed 268 stairs to the Tian Tan Buddha Statue (天坛大佛). The consequence is, I overstretched my leg muscles for climbing too fast and ended up walking like a granny for the following days. You deserved it well, Christina! 真活该=(
Entering Ngong Ping Village...
Such a lovely family portrait. Should have let mum to have the chair instead.
Maneki-neko, literally means the "beckoning cat".
Quick fix at Feng Chia Market (逢甲工房). The mango smoothie gave me brain freeze!
Po Lin Monastery (宝莲禅寺) after undergoing refurbishment.
Just nice and chilly up the mountain.
One of the imposing Buddha statues covered in gold.
The chanting area I believe.
More Buddha statues.
Even dogs are more furry here due to the cold weather.
Convenient stall selling all kind of souvenirs, hats, drinks and more.
From the monetary looking out on Tian Tan Buddha.
Happy [V] Day, everyone!!! May your Valentine's Day filled with lots and lots of ❤. XoXo
