Penang Hean Boo Thean (玄母殿) and Lee Jetty (姓李桥)

Li Shan Dui (李山兑) Lee Jetty
Lee Jetty, alternatively known as Seh Lee Keo in Hokkien, is the fourth clan jetty from the north, situated between Tan Jetty and Mixed Clan Jetty. There was a karaoke competition going on last night, when we swung by this place. It brought us a very bright and Mid-Autumn feel seeing all those colorful lights and lanterns. Happy Mid-Autumn in advance, everyone!!!

You smile, I smile. Wish you were here, Mr. Choo ='(

Woah! Finally, the Hean Boh Thean (玄母殿) I've long heard about!!!
It was just diagonally opposite where we stood.

Li Shan Dui (李山兑). Guess it's the name of their great ancestor or something?

Next Destination: Hean Boo Thean (玄母殿).
You'll have to walk a little bit of distance as the path is only accessible by smaller vehicles like bikes.

Penang Xuan Mu Dian Floating Temple
To my surpise, the magnificent floating temple appeals to be relatively new and well maintained.

Sis suspects it was first built for the local fishermen to pray for safety and harvest before they set sail.

Too small to see my face =s

  1. Hi, I came across your blog while I was researching for my upcoming trip to Penang. I'm interested to visit Lee Jetty, but I was just wondering if it has restaurants or cafe? Thank you!

    1. Hi Bere, there are "kopitiam" walking distance away from this place. For cafes, you may have to walk further down across the road, that is also where the heritage area located, with a lot of wall arts / murals and cafes :)
