Dragon-i Queensbay Mall Penang: Farewell Lunch with Family

Goodbyes always hurt whether it's the right thing to do or not. And being far apart from your family to chase after your own dreams was never easy, without having a special someone to encourage and support each other, side by side. I'm glad I have him and a family that I never stop loving, missing, thinking, and caring about. Few hours before my flight departure, my family threw me a farewell lunch at the Dragon-i Shanghainese Restaurant. We were supposed to have roasted duck feast elsewhere, but that particular restaurant named Jade Blossom (粤翠轩) at Crystal Point was closed for private function and hence, plan changed!

Lovely tea cups with kids flying rabbit kite printing on them. Both me and my sister think that they're more suitable for English tea rather than Chinese tea.

Shanghainese Steamed Meat Dumplings (上海小笼包). I haven't been to Shanghai yet (heard that they serve better dumplings there), but these were the best I've tasted in Malaysia so far ;)

Stir Fried Eggplant with Fish Fillet (鱼肉茄子). We ordered "鱼香茄子" at first but changed to this one because it has fish pieces in it, yum!

Cashew Nut Chicken (腰豆鸡丁), very well flavored.

Shanghainese Drunken Chicken (上海醉酒鸡), a cold and bitter dish with very strong alcohol taste. It'd be a waste if you're someone who doesn't know how to enjoy such flavor. Well, I'm one of the unlucky ones.

Half Deep Fried Crispy Duck served with pancakes, spring onions, and hoisin sauce. Very much similar to Beijing Roast Duck (北京烤鸭).

Shanghainese Braised Pork Belly with Beancurd Leaves (上海白页红烧肉), The most wanted dish of the day, but it came out a total disappointment. Meat texture was hard, most probably the cooking time was not long enough.

Steamed buns to be dipped with the pork belly gravy.
