After several days in Hong Kong and Shen Zhen, tasting all sort of delicious and heaty food, we finally decided to treat ourselves with some traditional Chinese medicine like Gui Ling Gao (龟苓膏) and Pi Pa Gao (枇杷膏). I'm not sure about others but I personally like them both to be served chilled with honey syrup, very tempting isn't it? So the question now is, where was this place? Kung Wo Tong (恭和堂) of course!!! We went to the nearest franchise located at 15A Cameron Road (金馬倫道).
Kwai Kee Wanton Noodles (桂記雲吞面), the one at 45-47 D Hau Fook Street (厚福街) was where we had our quick dinner. Yup, the Gui Ling Gao and Pi Pao Gao were nothing to us, we want more!!! To my surprise and amazement, the wontons they made were seriously BIG as the size of a dumpling, not to mention its fillings with lots and lots of shrimps too, yum~
For dessert indulgence, we came to Hui Lau Shan (許留山), the most recommended and renowned dessert chain stores in Hong Kong. I ain't really a big fan of mango desserts, so I ordered a Double-boiled Milk with Bird's Nest (燕窩燉奶) and a Double-boiled Hasma with Chinese Pear (雪梨燉雪蛤) to share with my boi. Guess what? We visited this place not once or twice but thrice in a week!!!
Apart from that, we've also tried some of the famous "street foods" of Hong Kong, such as Curry Fish Balls (咖哩魚蛋), Egg Puff / Bubble Waffle (鷄蛋仔), Jumbo Wagashi (醬爆果子燒), Put Chai Ko (砵仔糕)... Oh wait a minute! We didn't get to try the last one, did we?! >.<"
