The Sizzler: Re-Opened After Renovations

The Sizzler: After Renovation

Last Sunday evening, we paid our very first visit to the Sizzler Toowoomba after its $1.7 million complete make-over at the end of 2010. We reached there at around 7, and the restaurant was already so packed and crowded with people. We queued (with sweats and sore feet) for more than half an hour, from the entrance all the way down to the counter. And it really felt good when we can eventually sit down to enjoy a nice cold glass of lemon lime bitters.

The Sizzler: After Renovation

Pumpkin Soup to warm up our stomach a little bit before having our main meals or anything from the salad bar.

The Sizzler: After Renovation

The Fisherman's Platter and the Malibu Chicken we ordered were surprising well cooked and delicious. I guess they must have hired some new chefs into their kitchen or the chef was probably in a very good mood that day when cooking our meals.

The Sizzler: After Renovation

Fisherman's Platter Supreme $29.95
Tempura battered fish, shrimp, tempura prawns & calamari rings.

The Sizzler: After Renovation

Malibu Chicken Supreme $25.95

Cappuccino + Espresso

The Sizzler: After Renovation

Salad from the Salad Bar. Not much choices though, due to recent Queensland Floods and stock shortages around the country.

The Sizzler: After Renovation

Apricot Vacherin layered with cream and finished with toasted almonds.

  1. Glad to see you are enjoying great nice meals even though the flood had swept Toowoomba. Oh dear thought you guys would be eating instant noodles for a period of time until fresh supply comes to town haha. Have not tried pumpkin soup yet. tQ.

Yeah, we have basically almost all of the food supplies here now, just more expensive that's all ;)

The taste of that pumpkin soup was just so-so, not something very impressive to me...
