In another 4 months, I'll have to list out another batch of new year resolutions for 2011. Time flies and as I speak, we've already came to the last day of August, which is also the Independence Day of my home-country, Malaysia. Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka! The calender reminds me that there's no better time than now to go through the checklist of my 2010 new year resolutions.
As we grow older, our memories fade inevitably... I wish to keep them here, just between you and me... My beautiful diary...

I was exceedingly happy this afternoon, when I received a call from my university's Faculty of Sciences. It's an enormous good news to me as I have been waited night and day for my dissertation results to release. Wanna know what the good news is? YES!!! I'll be graduating in another 3 weeks!!! And if you'd like to show some love and support, just drop in the Empire Theatre to take photos with me =)

Last Saturday afternoon, 14 of us gathered together at the Queens Park in celebration of San's 22nd birthday. The park was pretty packed with kids and families as we reached there. Thank goodness both the barbecue facilities were not occupied by any of them.

Yesterday, before the candlelight dinner, my boi and I went to do some groceries at the Clifford Gardens. We don't usually come here unless we are in need of seafood such as oysters and others.

Homemade Candlelight Dinner for 七夕情人节

Unlike last year, we had our little Chinese Valentine's Day (七夕情人节) celebration at home by preparing some delightful home-made dishes for each other. Moreover, I did spend extra time and effort to decorate the dining table this time with a bouquet of red roses, two wine glasses, a bottle of champagne, and a lighting table candle to create such romantic candlelight dinner ♥

San's 22nd Birthday: Countdown Party
I slightly curled my hair with Remington 32mm curling tong last night, before attending San's 22nd birthday countdown party. The entire process took approximately half an hour and the result was pleasurable enough (since I was in a big hurry). We just stayed at the party for an hour or so, then headed straight back home to bed. Unbelievably, I survived the one-day job in Dalby with barely 2 hours sleep in the morning. It sure was a hell of a big day today!

Something Sweet
Category:

I'm gonna start off my post with something really sweet and special today. How special is "special"? These cupcakes are special enough to be baked by my boi. I don't know what's got into him but he just made them for me ♥ The normal him doesn't usually bake or I should use the word never instead *touched* Besides that, he has also bought me something that I wanted to have since years ago *touched again* I'll only include photos of that "something" in my coming post. So, please make sure you'd be back to check them out!

This afternoon when I was on my way coming back from Stanthorpe, I unintentionally discovered a perfect little vantage point for photo-shooting. It's a rural area located somewhere in Hodgson Vale, with absolutely breath-taking scenic views. I was almost flat out after more than 10 hours of work and travel. And what's worse was, I only had about an hour sleep last night, horrible! Now that you've known it all, you don't think it's too excessive for me to continue this post with photos only right? Enjoy =)

Sight Seeing and Home Cooking

On an unquestionably cold and windy afternoon, my boi and I went on a leisurely sight-seeing drive to Kara View Court and some other places in Toowoomba after lunch. We only stepped out of the car once to snap some photos, and the air was freezingly cold! Like the view here? By the way, the Table Top Mountain appeared to be a little too bald at this time of winter, no trees, no grasses...

Toowoomba Languages and Cultures Festival 2010

The annual Toowoomba Languages and Cultural Festival commenced at Queens Park from 10am to 4pm today! My boi and I, and another friend of us were there to join in the fun as we got nothing much to do on Sundays (just recently). We were hungry like mad that time (we both went there empty stomach, or does a cup of Milo count? Don't matter!), so the first thing we did was to "scan" for some good food to feed our poor stomach. These two triangular deep fried vegetarian stuff we tried, not good...

Toowoomba Restaurants
After the visit to Zarraffa's Coffee, we drove around Toowoomba just to figure out which restaurant should we give it a go this time. Along the way, there were so many restaurants that we drove passed but still we ended up parking our car in front of Pandan Delight. We've been here uncountable times and the challenge for the night was, how to take different photos in the same restaurant that you frequently visit? And even worse, sitting at the same table again. Don't worry, just do what you do... posing!!!

Toowoomba Restaurants
We had our afternoon tea at the Zarraffa's Coffee today. Zarraffa's originates from the Arabic word, Zarafa which means "Giraffe". The Gold Coast organization claimed to be Australian owned and operated, that is why you'll only get to taste their coffee here in certain regions of Queensland and New South Wales.

When I asked my boi what did he want for dinner tonight, he didn't reply me but threw me the line, "Go get change now!". He was actually planning to take me out for dinner at the Intersection Restaurant, how good is that?! I once told him that one of my blog readers recommended me to try out the food there, and today we finally got the opportunity to do so. To my surprise, the restaurant was not as big as I expected. The bar and dining area were quiet with barely a few customers. The main thing is, the restaurant has a great ambiance with soft music (too soft until it can make you fall asleep, especially after you're stuffed with a lot of good food) and they serve wonderful dishes too, of course!

My boi and I have prepared a splendid home cooked dinner tonight! *proud* We started cooking right after we came back from groceries. I must say that the process was really hectic since I not only had to capture behind-the-scenes photos (I did it for you guys k? Ahem) but also cooking and helping out my boi at the same time. Anyway, everything was worth it when we can eventually sit down and taste the dishes we prepared with our own hands. Thumbs up to both of us!!!

Toowoomba Royal Show 2010

The Toowoomba Royal Show held this year seemed to be a lot less happening compared to the previous years. On the second show day, we made it to the showground at around 6 something, and the sky was already dark. We had a mission with us that day and it was to check out the fireworks, which we didn't even have a clue about the starting time. In the end, we missed the firework display as everyone (including me) was dying to get out of this cold place. My advice, it's better to visit the showground during day time than night, as you'll get plenty of sunlight (for photo-taking purpose) and most importantly, there'll be more exhibition sections opened for visit! Also, I've included the links to last year's Toowoomba Royal Show below, enjoy!
