Byron Bay: Kinoko Japanese Restaurant

Byron Bay: Kinoko Japanese Restaurant

Kinoko is a popular Japanese restaurant located in the heart of Byron town centre. After an exciting photo-shooting session at the Cape Byron Lighthouse, we had a sneaky peek at few of the local restaurants and finally decided to pop in here to try out its fabulously fresh sushi and seafood.

It belongs to my boi, not mine ='(

Grilled Fish, I kinda forgotten the name of the fish. Anyway, the skin actually tasted bitter (apparently it was burnt / overcooked). I requested to have my meal replaced but the chef just told the waitress to tell us that it was the sauce which makes the fish taste bitter. So I said okay (what a good explanation) and continued to eat. I didn't bother to complain further since my boi already helped me to remove the burnt skin.

In the end, we got 10% discount off our bills, not because they eventually realized their mistake, but simply because my boi mentioned about the over-burnt dish I had to the counter person AGAIN.

  4. Your over-burnt dish...it's so obvious...hehe. They did the right thing by giving you discount instead of turning you off and not having a returning customer :P.

Not little actually, the whole slice of fish skin was burnt and tasted terribly bitter.
As for the Sesame Salmon dish, it was really superb and we loved it so much =)
