Crows Nest National Park is about 50km away from Toowoomba, Toowoomba South to be exact. The adventure trip begun right after we had a more-than-satisfying meal at Angelo's House Restaurant and it took us roughly one hour of driving to reach the destination.
We're finally here, thanks to the helpful GPS!
Somewhere at the entrance, there was this pair of old couple sitting under the trees, reading books while enjoying the sunny weather and its wonderful scenery.
Checking out the map of Crows Nest National Park.
There are several things we can do here and jungle trekking was what we chose to do.

We're all ready with water bottle, camera, cap and some biscuits.
Shall we make a move now?
Shall we make a move now?
It's more like jungle trekking and I definitely wore the wrong shoes.
A warning notice board says, "Climbing on, jumping or diving from rocks in this area is dangerous".
Along the walking trail, we saw many wild animals, parrot is one of them.
Which path shall we take now? Falls via Kauyoo Loop or Falls and Koonin Lookout?
The second option sounds more interesting.
The second option sounds more interesting.
Crows Nest Falls lookout (2.1km return - allow 45 minutes).
Unfortunately, the water level was very low and we saw no waterfall.
We came across a giant tree trunk!
Some wild orange fungus.
Koonin Lookout (4.5km return - allow one and a half hour return).
That was something rewarding after a long and tiring walk.
Breath-taking views from Koonin Lookout.
The spectacular view of Valley of Diamonds (depth 120m).
A couple shot taken using my camera's self-timer.
Guess what happened next? We were deep in the jungle and my handphone surprisingly rang! It was a call from Guess Queen Street Mall asking me to pick up my handbag. Well, what can I say? My Motorola L7 has better reception than my boi's Apple iPhone 3G? LoL~
That's the shadow of my boi's hand holding an Echidna (Spiny Anteater). We found it on the way walking back to the starting point. Before I end this post, let's do a little math and see how many kilometres have we walked on that day... Approximately 5km or more? Impressive!!!
