Highfields: Pioneer Village

Highfields Pioneer Village

Highfields Pioneer Village located at Wirraglen Road has a large range of vintage cars, trucks and tractors. We had a long drive (approximately 23 km away from Darling Heights) to this historical village which offers a fine collection of antique radios, electrical appliances, and many more.

We weren't alone that day. The white puffy clouds kept us company along the journey.

The Highfields Pioneer Village, Museum and Park Inc is a voluntary community based non-profit organization run by volunteers.

It opens daily from 10 am to 4 pm. But, as soon as we reached the destination, it was already a quarter to four. The ticket counter was closed and the ticket seller has gone too.

So, the least thing we could do was to take a look at the surroundings.

A very old horse carriage. I'm guessing those silver tanks are meant for milking purpose.

We also took some photos before leaving the place.

An antique tractor at the main entrance, which makes it easier for you to spot the village.
