Five Hours Mega Movie Marathon

Mega Movie Marathon @ Greater Union Birch Carroll & Coyle

Mega Movie Marathons traditionally take place on the night of national public holidays in the local Birch Carroll & Coyle cinemas. On the night of April 12 (Easter Monday Eve), we've finally opened our eyes on the 5 hours non-stop movie marathon which began at 11.20 pm and ended at 4.20 am. There were 4 different marathon programs for us to choose from:
  • Marathon 1: Too Fast Too Furious (Advance Screening), Death Race, Role Models. (SOLD OUT)
  • Marathon 2: Race to Witch Mountain, Confessions of A Shopaholic, Bedtime Stories.
  • Marathon 3: Monsters Vs. Aliens, Ghost Town, Madagascar 2: Escape to Africa. (OUR CHOICE)
  • Marathon 4: 17 Again, Yes Man, Inkheart. (SOLD OUT)

As soon as we reached the parking area, all of us were totally freaked out by the long queues waiting outside the cinema. I was like OMG!!! We should have gone there earlier to buy the tickets, it's only 20 dollars for 3 movies per person. Anyway, we really salute these hardcore movie watchers who brought their pillows, blankets, and even home-made sandwiches along with them. Myself, on the other hand, have brought some snacks, a bottle of water, and a soft toy for me to hug throughout the movies.

Can you see the big crowd right behind me?
It was such a rare scene to appear in this small town!

There was 5-10 minutes toilet break in between the movies.

Finally, 5 hours have passed and I still looked fresh in the photo.
It was such a fun and great experience, I must say!

  3. I used to watch 3 movies in a row during my "courting days"...(great experience i.e. running from one cinema to another) those were days ....these days I prefer to watch them at HOME. :)

  4. Wow, that's impressive! I only watched 2 movies in a roll once, and it was my first time experiencing 3 movies continuously.
