A Farewell Dinner

Two of my colleagues will be moving down to Sydney on next coming week, and today happens to be their last day working with us. So, Benny decided to have a farewell dinner for them in the restaurant after work. The dishes prepared include Oysters with Lemon Slices (柠檬生蚝), a Fried Whole Fish, Marinated Duck Wings (卤水鸭膀), and Tofu Meatballs (豆腐肉丸).

Previously, we have also tried out some wonderful dishes like Fried Soft-Shell Crabs (炸软壳蟹)，Mapo Tofu (麻婆豆腐)，Salt & Pepper Calamari (盐椒墨鱼), King Prawn Omelet (大虾炒蛋) and so forth. I guess that's the good thing about working in a Chinese Restaurant besides learning new recipes and getting to know more people everyday.

This is my newly-created dish called “八福临门”. Here, we can't afford to buy any expensive cooking ingredients like sea cucumber, abalone, scallop and others. So, I just make use of simple and affordable ingredients such as snow peas, carrot, dried mushroom (香菇), and golden mushroom (金针菇). Golden mushroom also know as enoki mushroom, enok, enokidake, enokitake, golden needle mushroom, snow puff mushroom, velvet foot mushroom, velvet stem mushroom, or winter mushroom.

Two days after I sent a PageRank Reconsideration Request to Google, my blog has finally been rewarded PR 3 again yesterday. Yay, thanks Google for the generosity and also for the fast respond! It usually takes up to several weeks to process or review a website. Previously, my blog was downgraded from PR 3 to PR 0. Google PageRank: Reconsideration Request

As everyone knows, the page rank of my blog has dropped from PR3 to PR0 on January 13th of this year. Two weeks later after the incident, I've written a public apology to Google, which is on 27th within the same month. In between that very significant two weeks, I spent time removing all the paid posts I ever wrote in my blog, as well as re-correcting all the links (external and internal) in every single post. Also, there is a disclosure policy button created at the most bottom right of my sidebar.

It has been 10 days waiting for feedback from Google, Kay Bin gave me an idea on how to deal with my current situation when we were having a small conversation just now. Oh well, it's worth a try rather than sitting there doing nothing, right? That is why I decided to submit a reconsideration request to Google a couple minutes ago, requesting for re-evaluation of my website. Hopefully, there'll be an adjustment to my page rank soon. This early morning, I paid a visit to the office of Queensland Transport in Toowoomba city. The main purpose is to enquire about the licensing matters for International Students like us, what are the procedures needed, whether or not we're allowed to drive in Queensland, the Sunshine State of Australia. I'm glad that all my doubts are cleared and we can now start driving around the state, but do bare in mind that the licensing rules in Queensland are vary from other states.
