Triple Choco Cake for My Valentine

Triple Choco Cake - Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) or 160°C for fan-forced.
  • Grease a 6cm deep x 20cm round cake pan.
  • Line the base with baking paper.

Triple Choco Cake - Step 2
  • Empty the sachet into a mixing bowl.
  • Add 2 eggs, 250ml (1 cup) water and margarine spread / soft butter.
  • Using an electric mixer beat on low speed for 30 seconds to combine (I hand mixed all the ingredients as we have no electric mixer at home, and the result was rather good).
  • Increase speed to medium and mix for 4 minutes.
Triple Choco Cake - Step 3
  • Spread mixture into prepared pan.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.
  • Stand 5 minutes in pan before turning onto a wire rack to cool.
  • Decorate with a thick layer of Mint Choc Flavored Topping (optional).
  • Sprinkle some Dark Cooking Chocolate Bits on top and ready to serve (optional).
